Hi guys.
Well as you all are talking about the new retina MBP, I have questions about the Early 2011 MBP Optibay.
So, yesterday I bought M4 Crucial 128GB SSD, 1TB Samsung HDD, optibay w/ philips screws and data transfer to fit 2.5in drives.
The question is, how do I install all my datas?
I have the standard 500GB HDD inside right now and want to transfer them to the 1TB and apps to SSD.
My MBP is the Early so it came with the SL disc and not Lion.
(But I bought it over the app store, now running 10.7.4)
How do I clean install my OS onto the SSD?
Is clean install necessary first of all?
How do I transfer my data to my new drive?
Are apps that came through iLife 11 transferable just by drag and drop?
Or do I need to install them through the disc that came with it my MBP?
Any links or thoughts help.
I need to run through all the drives by this month since Im traveling in Japan right now.
I need to test it and see if there is no problem since my warranty is only for a month with the store.
