MBP Optical Drive free repair?

I have a MBP and the DVD drive JUST went out on me, I am about a month out of my Apple Care, and was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me get this replaced for free. I know these Apple Care people will sometimes make exceptions, what should I do/say to get them to replace it? Any help really appreciated. THanks

I have had repairs done out of warranty for things like this. Just go to your apple store, be courteous, and ask nicely.
