probably when I took the MBP with my hands, I've chipped the outer lower margin of the dvd slot (thus it's visible) with my fingernails. thing is, I read about dents and being kinda' "normal" for the Alu to dent, but this kind of actually "biting" a fraction of millimeter left that area very shiny and glossy especially when light goes there. anybody got sth similar? any potential issues may arise like as eventual extension of the anodized coat ripping in time or rust .. because if yet to get money to replace the expensive alu casing..

Aluminum doesn't rush. It will get overtime an oxide coat, which will protect itself from oxiding further. Nothing to cry over.

hmm..maybe a wet 400-grit sandpapering the dented edge will do fine ?

just in case anybody is curious.. i've solved it today with 380 grit, wet sandpaper. it went out mate and fine enough.
