Has anybody used alibaba.com for purchasing parts? I've been poking around the site and chatting with several suppliers. Most of the suppliers are confirmed and protected by escrow transactions. Is this safe?

You probably meant aliexpress.com - which is a subsidiary company of alibaba, for ordinary buyers.
