MBP (Penryn) Poor Airport Wireless Reception?

Hey all.

Probably also posted elsewhere, but has anyone else noticed poor wireless reception with the MBP compared to other machines?

Attached is a screenshot showing the Airport stats for my MBP and my girlfriend's MB (Late 06) from the bedroom. As you can see, her reception figures are vastly superior to mine, and I'm basically on the very edge of coverage. Sometimes it doesn't work at all there. Her machine on the other hand is reporting good signal strength and hardly ever drops out in there.

Thoughts?

I knew the MBP had kind of crappy wi-fi reception when I got it, but combined with a Time Capsule in N mode it seemed absolutely horrid. In 5GHz mode I was only getting ~14, b/g/n mode was giving me a wobbly 78... sometimes would spike to 108 or so, sometimes down to 14. This is about 20-25 feet away down the hallway.

My trusty old SMC router gives me about 36 consistent in the same spot. The Time Capsule went back to the Apple Store yesterday.
