Hey,

My MBP becomes permanently slow once the battery runs out completely a few times! If the laptop runs until it runs out of juice, and this happens a few times, the laptop becomes soo slow it is unbelievable!

I have the early 2012 laptop! It should not be this slow! By gf's macbook air that is 2 years old opens applications faster than mine!

While you may be experiencing some performance issues, it's not caused by your battery running out. That's simply not possible. In order to diagnose what the problem may be:
  1. Launch Activity Monitor
  2. Change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes"
  3. Click on the CPU column heading once or twice, so the arrow points downward (highest values on top).
  4. Click on the System Memory tab at the bottom.
  5. Take a screen shot of the entire Activity Monitor window, then scroll down to see the rest of the list, take another screen shot
  6. Post your screenshots.
