I just picked up a new MBP the other day and I noticed this morning that the LED on the power adapter was not illuminated. I verified that the battery had been fully charged, disconnected it and reconnected it. It glowed green for a few seconds then went out again. The lid was closed and it was sleeping, but after I disconnected and reconnected, the machine woke up while the lid was still closed.
System profiler says the battery health is "good" and only has 3 cycles used. And as I said, it seems to charge the battery just fine...
Is this documented behavior? Is it probably a faulty power adapter?
I've owned two macbooks (as well as a handful of PPC macs with the LED barrel connector) in the past, and none of them acted like this...
Thanks,
mjb
