MBP power up sound

I just bought a second MBP today - this one for my wife

Since it is my second 2.2 (albeit this one is refurbished)
I am noticing some differences.

When I hit the power button or when it wakes from sleep, the refurb makes a louder quick zip sound.

My first macbook makes a softer and drawn out startup sound - similar to the startup guitar rift.

also the fans are making very different sounds.
I thought the refurb was much louder at first
but after testing both I'm just noticing they are quite different
and this is why I must be noticing the newer fan rythm more

anyways - I guess my most important concern is whether the loud quick startup zip noise is normal
its a bit startling

the referbs usually have all defects fixed in them, so that's why you may see differences between the two mbps
