Help! My 16" MBP has fans running but won't turn on

I can hear the fans but it won't boot. I tried manual shut down which worked to shut the fans off. When I try to boot, the fans just spin but nothing else happens. Any ideas? I shut it down normal before.

Assuming it’s software:

1)
Reset PRAM and SMC
Boot. Works? Yes? Good! No? Next step

2)
Try booting in safe mode.
Works? Save your files and reinstall the OS

3)
Boot as external drive, connect it to another Mac, save important files and reinstall the OS

4)
You probably can’t save your files if you’ve gotten here, so just reinstall the OS.

If it’s hardware:

5)
Try connecting to an external display and see if your Mac is outputting a signal but may not be properly connected to the internal display

6)
If you can’t reinstall the OS because you can’t even get it booted up that far, run Apple Hardware Test, you may have an issue with the hardware.

Apple support helped. I had to do the control option shift power method. I'm in the return period and I'm sending back. Not just because of this, but I've had multiple kernal panics. Plus, I might go for the 32GB ram version on a replacement.
