Heres what I have:

17" MBP i7 4GB Ram

Rosewill RSV-S5 5 Bay Enclosure

5x 1.5TB Segate HDD's

Sonnet's Tempo SATA ExpressCard/34

What I want to do is build a Raid 5 or Raid 10 array.

I can't find a definitive answer on weather its possible or not.

I heard that Mac OS's Disk Utility doesn't support raid 5 or raid 10.

So my next question Is there any software or hardware work-arounds that will MAKE this work?

I'm pretty sure disk utility does RAID 10, but you need an even number of drives for that. Check this out.

No, the disk utility can only do softraid level 0 and 1. You need hardware raid to do 5 and 0+1. Such as Apple's Enhanced RAID card.

Of course, you won't be able to take advantage of such options on the Macbook Pro.

Check out the link I posted. It shows how to combine RAID levels 1 and 0
