MBP RAM -> Macbook

Hey guys, I have received some RAM (two 1gb sticks) that were originally installed in a MBP, the generation previous to the last update.

Can I just remove the two 512mb sticks of RAM from my macbook and replace them with these, is it compatible? I have an original 1st gen macbook.
