mbp ram recommendation/compatibilyi/performance purchase help!

Hi guys,

Am about to get a brand new mbp from apple here.

Among the flurry of 4GB ram purchases... which ones are recommended?

I suppose compatibility and performance are important here as I understand apple machines are picky when it comes to rams.

So any recommendations? Also, does it have to be matched twin pairs, and will this twin matched thing affect perforamnce/compatibility?

matched pairs allow for the ram to take advantage of dual channel, so yes, it is very important. Crucial and OWC both have great RAM, Newegg also sells it, but for Macs I would stick with Crucial or OWC. hope that helps!
