There are a tonne of refurbished MacBook pros on the apple website, way more than I've ever seen. Think it could be a sign of good things to come?

Edit/ MacBook airs and even poly MacBooks too.

No. The Apple refurb inventory changes constantly, and has no relation to product releases. It's determined by how many products are returned to Apple, and refurbished products are made available when they're ready. They don't stockpile an inventory that they would have to clear out to make room for new products being released.

They don't usually do that. They don't take old stock when a new product is released and puts them up as refurbs. They will hold them as reserves for warranty purposes.

Or maybe all the people now which buys an a MBA/MBP, comes back from home, starts up MacBook, turns on some forum with rumors (which 100% false, because no one knows) and starts read all that things and thinks "I need to return it". And here it goes to refurb. section.
