The price on the 2.33 15" MBP in the refurb store has dropped from 1,999 to 1,899 as of this morning. To me this means that we'll be seeing 2.2 and 2.4 models shortly...

Sadly, the one version old MBP used to sell for 1,799, so the price is not as good as before. So, I'm guessing the discount on the 2.2 and 2.4 models will not be as good either...

I kind of wish the MacBooks dropped in price again. I wouldn't mind getting another refurb but we will see.

The reason for the price drop is to make room for the 2.2/2.4 models, imo. The MB's dropped right when they got their 2.0/2.16 "upgrades".

I think the best deal right now on the MB's is the 2.0 Black for 1049! The only real difference between that current one is the 6x VS 8x superdrive speed and the processor speed. Oh yeah, and I guess the hard drive is different too, I'd be taking that way up to 200 or 250 so that doesn't matter to me.

The refurb 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo also dropped by $100, from $1599 to $1499.

I expect that we'll see the Santa Rosa MBP refurbs start at $1699.

Hey, did all of the MBP prices drop by $100 then? I'm thinking so...

When are they going to get the new AEBS's back in stock???

I did just buy the 2.0 C2D black MacBook for that price ($1189 CND) and I love it. It's an amazing deal. I know the price drop was to make room for the new MacBook Pros but I can still dream.

Shhhhh, Don't tell anyone but the referb CD2 blackbook combined with the free printer (Canon ip4300) is the best deal out there for those that already have a desktop that rocks and don't have a problem with the GMA 950 while on the go.

BTW the HD is the same 120G as the one in the new middle whitebook. The free Canon printer could be sold for more than enough to buy more ram before the prices start creeping back up. :D

I didn't realize you could do a printer deal in conjunction with a refurb - outstanding. I mean, what are you talking about?!?!?!? ;)
