Hi -

I recently replaced a matte-finish LCD panel in my 15.4" 2.16 Ghz MBP (bought in early 2007) with a Glossy LCD panel (as that was the only one I could find). I followed some online instructions for replacing the panel, and everything is working fine (iSight camera, display, etc.)

HOWEVER

Now I cannot figure out how to adjust the display brightness - when I press the keys nothing comes up on the screen. The other hotkeys all work - do I need a new driver or something?

I can see "Display" and "Color" tabs, which I have set at 1440x900 and calibrated [default] Display.

I should mention that the "Brightness" bar and option to "adjust with ambient light" do not appear, but they're there on my old MBP (a Core Duo).

ALSO, the ambient light detector works for the backlit keyboard -
