MBP screen coming back on

Hi,
When I turn the brightness right down on my MBP, after about a minute, the screen will come back on. Any interaction with the trackpad will instantly make the screen turn off again.

I've had my mac for nearly a year now and this issue has only just surfaced.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

OMG mine has started doing this in the last week also!

I turn the screen down at night and then within a couple of minutes it's back on. I'm sure I hit esc instead of brightness down and it went black again

Exactly the same here. I can press any button or just touch the trackpad and the screen will go off again. Quite annoying when trying to conserve battery power!
