MBP screen keeps going complety dark

Hi guys,

I have a prob with my MBP and wondered if anyone had an idea what the problem is?

Today the screen just goes black.. when i turn the backlight up and down i can see some difference but no picture on screen.

The mac book is still on and music playing.

Is it the all-silver "classic" kind? It might be the video card failure. If you bought it within the correct year span (it hasn't been 4 years yet) you should be covered under the nVidia/Apple lawsuit settlement thing - they determined that the graphics chips were faulty.

yeh it is the silver classic kind, under 3 years old.

Cheers for the heads up, i will call apple tomorrow and explane my issue.

Ahhh, its a pain in the ass.. keeps going dark all the time now!
