MBP screen problems... gpu?

When I'm looking at a window (like Safari right now for example) there are faint lines that go all the way across the rest of the screen from the sides of the window. it's hard to explain, but it's like a continuing ghost of the lines from the window... and if i move the window on the screen they follow along.

anyone else have this?

oh, and just to note that this is the 3rd screen this mbp has had, but this is the first time with this particular issue.
