Over the last couple weeks I have noticed that my screen (2.16 17" MBP, 14 months old) has been progressively getting a bluer tint. Is this common for LED screens? Would Apple replace my screen or just tell me to re-calibrate (I have already done this twice) to get rid of it?

Thanks

Anybody? I can see that people are viewing but are unwilling to give any response. Anything would be appreciated.

*EDIT*

I meant to say LCD not LED above. My mistake and hopefully this helps get an answer.

I've got the impression LED screens are supposed to give the same lightning for a long time.

But the 17" aren't LED, neither the current or the last version, so if you have a 17" you don't have the LED ones.

I don't know why it looks bluer thought, you are sure it haven't switched profile? And it's not only your sight which have adopted to the color temperature?

It was my mistake for saying LED, being sick + no sleep = no thinking.

I was using my calibrated profile for 6+ months and only in the last couple weeks has it been getting a blue tint.

I know that when I use Fast User Switching that there is a bug in Tiger that sets the profile to Generic RGB and that looks blue, but logging out and back in fixes it. Even after that my calibrated profile looks blueish.
