Last Friday, I ordered a stock MBP, off of the Apple Store Web Page, and was told the product would ship within two business days. I requested expedited shipping (what's 23 more dollars on top of 2,4440?).

My Apple Order Status Page displayed an estimated ship by date of the 9th; yesterday. Up until yesterday afternoon, when it suddenly switched to the 11th. So i phoned yesterday, and asked why it was bumped back, and they told me 'there was a slight delay'. And it would ship within twelve hours (as of 11 AM Atlantic Standard Time yesterday).

I went to bed last nite, expecting to wake up to a shipment processed e-mail, with my FedEx tracking number. But no.

A very helpful customer care rep on the phone informed me there has been some unknown delay in shipping this mbp, no further information is being shown on his end of things, and that it should ship within 12-24 hours, as of 9 AM on today, the 10th. He told me he would maintain the expedited shipping, but refund me the cost; awfully swell of him.

Still I wonder though. On the 5th, two business days would have been the 9th (at max) now the 11th, is four business day's from when i ordered it, and it still has to get all the way to Halifax, Canada. Essentially, I fear it won't be here by week's end.

Has anyone else made an order in the last 3-4 days that has been delayed? Anyone have any insights to this? The pessimist in me, says it's just apple taking their sweet time, but the optimist has visions of a revision, or something 'special' happening....

sigh. it's going to be another long weekened i fear.
