When I try to turn on my macbook pro it takes a few tries before it will power on fully. When I press the power button sometimes it takes, and other times it will shut back off again, and then idle and either try to turn itself back on or just sit until I press the power button again. I noticed that its only when I can hear the dvd drive initiate that it boots all the way, if that makes any difference.

It's really very annoying since I bring it with me everywhere and it almost never starts up on the first try. Its like starting a cold motor...

I tried resetting the pram, which seemed to help briefly, but its at it again.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
