For some reason my Skype Application when unopened has always shown a question mark in the doc instead of the normal skype image, why is this?

that means the application is missing the computer cant find it or its location moved . I recommend re downloading skype.

Welcome! Make sure you move it into the applications folder it should tell you to do that while its installing that way it doesn't go missing again!
