I have a 13" MBP and bring it to college 3 days a week. I use it to record lectures and take notes. I want to purchase a sturdy sleeve, but not interested in the bulky speck. I am between the InCase or the Be.ez. Any thoughts on these two?

Are zippers on a sleeve truly a bad idea? I read a few posts where people do not recommend... but has anyone ever experience scratches from zippers on a sleeve that was specifically made for a MBP?

Does anyone know of any decent sleeves that are "work-in" meaning you can work on your MBP while it is in the sleeve?

Is it a bad idea to use your MBP while it is resting on top of the sleeve? Trying to prevent scratches on the bottom of it while using in class.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks!

I had a Incase neoprene sleeve with zippers on it when I had the white MB. Never had any issues with scratches. Currently I'm using another no-brand neoprene sleeve with my 13" MBP and still don't have any issues with zipper scratches.

I say go with what you like :D

I just took delivery of the Be.Ez sleeve for MacBook Air today, but my MacBook Air hasn't been delivered yet.
It is pretty sturdy, made from memory foam, and it has a hard ring around the sleeve to protect from corner drops I guess.

i dont have either so i cant help you decide.
however i can add to the flames in suggesting another amazing sleeve: Booq!!!

i suggest checking out the Vyper Series, they are rather expensive for a sleeve, but they are amazing in feel, quality, and design!
i have a discontinued Taipan sleeve and i <3 it!! You can't go wrong with a booq!

I also have the Incase sleeve (15"), and have had no issues.

I wouldn't leave the MBP on the sleeve to work with it, it will probably cause over heating.

I bought the inCase zipper/case also, upon purchasing my MacBook Pro. Although I'll probably eventually get one of those hard, form-fitting cases, this will protect it nicely in the meantime. Not regretting the inCase at all!
