Hey,
I have an Early 2008 MBP 2.4Ghz and 4GB RAM. This computer is most of the times very fast, but sometimes it can get really slow. I use BootCamp not too often but when I use it I always shut down the computer and start up on the partition I am goint to use. (either Mac OS X 10.6.4 or Windows 7) I need to know if its better to shut it down entirely or if its better just to restart it and hold the Option key? I have noticed that Windows is taking a lot to be ready and is not as responsive as it was before. This also happens when I return to Mac OS. It starts slower and programs are just a bit "lazy". The beach ball also appears a lot.
What I do to "fix" this is I just restart the computer again but booting on the same OS I need to use. Say like a double boot. It appears that it needed to warm up a little before starting to work fast enough.
I think this programs may be causing delays in booting...(in Windows)
ESET Smart Security 4.2
Rockstar Games (online server for GTA IV)
Logitech Control Center (i need it for the Dual Action Pad)
One Note
Apple drivers?
In Mac OS X no programs run in Start Up, just normal controllers, etc.
What really catches my attention is that when I shut down the computer on the Windows partition and then boot in Mac OS it is also slow and delays to be set up entirely. Some times I have to do the double boot as well in Mac OS X.
Does anyone have a suggestion for this? Should I need to erase the partition and install again Windows 7? BTW it is Windows 7 Professional in 64-bit.
Hope somebody can help me with this.
Thanks in advance for your help, it is highly appreciated!
