MBP Sound Very Low even on Max Volume

Aaaaaaaand another issue since opening my mbp .. My sound on my computer is so low despite being on max volume.. Is there anything that i should look into for it not working properly..
 
** Figured it out **

With the New Yosemite update if you are video chatting the computer automatically reduces the volume of other sources on your computer to I would assume not bother the other chatter.
