i was watching the wire and a few other tv shows and on full volume, the speakers on my MBP seem to distort high pitches sounds.. usually female voices. is this normal? its not bad but its very noticable and annoying. lower volume and it goes away.

How did you get it to distort female voices? I could definitely use that right now... jk :D when did you purchase this MBP? And what specifically are you watching and through what website/ or application?

hahaha. im watching the wire through Media player OSX extended off an AVI file.

i got it like 2-3 months ago.

Any speaker will distort sound if you try and pump too much volume out of it. After all, speakers generate sound from physical movement, and they have a maximum range of motion. Depending on what size MBP you have, the speakers, and range of motion, could be very small.

If you want it louder than you can get it at the moment, either use ear/headphones, or external speakers.
