I too am one of many experiencing display flickering with my 15" SR MBP. But there's one thing I noticed - I don't see any flickering while using Vista via Boot Camp. For comparison, check out the following image:

While the image flickers terribly in OSX, it looks just fine in Vista, no matter what brightness setting I use. This leads me to believe that the problem we're experiencing is software related, not hardware. Can others who are experiencing flickering verify this as well?
 
I don't know about this, but the Macbook's issues were fixed with a software update...

Aye, and hopefully the same can happen with the MBP as well. As some other users have noted, the latest MBP update has changed the problem somewhat. Some people now see horizontal waves instead of flickering under certain conditions (E.g. dark grey backgrounds, etc.).
