I have been using my Macbook Pro to share its ethernet internet connection to my iphone for 6 months. Two days ago it stopped working. Has Apple sent out any software updates in the last few days ?

My iphone connects to other wifi networks, and it can see the network I have setup via airport on my mac, but it cannot see the internet. I have tried turning off the encryption and changing channels used from Auto to 5 and various others. I did get it to work for an hour last night, but today its not working again.

I tried running repair permissions in Disk Utility but no change. I also just tried to run time machine as I have a backup from 1 month ago, but the restore button in time machine is greyed out. Any ideas much appreciated ?
