MBP super drive wont burn CDs/DVDs in iTunes

Today I tried to make a backup of my iTunes purchases on a DVD and this error "the device failed to calibrate laser power level for this media". I tried all the blank discs I had, still no luck. I burned some files through finder and it worked just fine. Do I have to go back to Apple? Because I don't want to deal with those mac geniuses again.

Edit: tried burning through finder again and this time I got the error.

Never mind. I fixed it by changing settings in the international.

I'm having the same problem. Can you elaborate? I have no idea what settings in the international means... thanks

(my error is trying to burn ubuntu iso to a cd through disk utility)
