I have a brand new MBP. I have 2 LCD screens at home - each 1680x1050. I was thinking of getting a Matrox DualHead2Go to allow me to connect both of these screens to my MBP. As I understand it, the MBP will only see one external screen (3360x1050) and the Matrox unit handles splitting the signal between the two screens. So my question is this - will the MBP support a screen resolution of 3360x1050 for an external screen?

MBP support 3360x1050 external monitor?

Your mileage may vary, of course, but it worked just fine for me. The MBP display was sharper but the dual 1680x1050 monitors worked just fine. Make sure you get the digital DualHead2Go. The analog version doesn't go above, if I recall correctly, 1280.
New MBP
I have been using the Matrox dualhead2go digital edition on my good old macbook pro without any problems, with an external display of 3360x1050.
However I just got a new 17" MBP, and after setup, I don't have an option for 3360x1050 anymore, only 1650x1050. So right now I can only use 1 of my external screens. Did you manage to make it work on your new MBP?
I've got the latest software from Matrox and everything, it's really frustrating...
