The other day I was listening to some music on my MacBook Pro 15" touch bar and suddenly the right speaker made a horrible sound, similar to the one produced by a taser.
I checked the sound coming by each speaker using the balance tool in the settings app and the sound coming from the right speaker is kind of muffled.
What could have caused this? I'm extremely careful with my Mac and no liquids have been poured on the keyboard or speakers

I had this happen with my 2016 TB 15" macbook pro, the 2nd day I had it. I did not notice that the sound sounded any worse or muffled after that, but it sounded like some sort of zapping noise that went from higher to lower pitch, then stopped after about a minute. I have not had that particular issue with it since... Just the same creaking noise after start up. -_-;
