The other day I transferred all of my media to my time capsule to free up some space on my mbp and the transfer went pretty successful but today I went to check the space on my hd and my available space did not change. The space that was movies and music is now classified as backup when I look at it through about this mac/storage, but when i go to get more into on my Macintosh HD it says that all my memory is clear. Can someone tell me why this is and help me resolve this problem?

i'm confused. did you move them onto a seperate partition of your backup drive? or onto the backup part? did you cut or copy them?

and your problem is you can't see them on that drive? or something else?

no everything is on the time capsule just like it is supposed to but the the space that all my media took up is now stored on my hard drive as "backup" I have like 300GB of "backup" on my hard drive now even though everything is on my time capsule.
