MBP to 30'' Cinema Display

Hey folks,

I'm really confused about this. How the heck am i connect 30'' Cinema Display through mini display port? As far I know theres no any adaptor from "mini display to firewire 400". So how am i get through this? Is there any possiblity to not use DVI out?

Your post makes no sense. The monitor probably is DVI-out. If so, you need an active dual-link dvi to mdp adapter, which you plug into thunderbolt/displayport on the mac.

Monitors don't connect via FireWire.

You need one of these as the normal Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter won't cut it with that monitor (because of the resolution).
