MBP tries to start from a CD every time it turns on

I was trying to put linux on my MBP but then gave up. Now every time I start my MAC it will go to the white screen then go black after a while and try to boot from a cd. The only way I can get it to start normally is to hold the ALT key to select the hard drive.

This is annoying because I won't have time to do that every time I need to use it. HELP

Try booting from a mac osx disc then electing start disk from utilities menu?

Hold ALT, boot into OSX, go to system prefs, change startup disk to Macintosh HD.

yes this is what you do,system prefs click on macintosh HD then exit.You will auto boot to mac os x now.
