Hi All,

I've been having my MBP Unibody 15inch 4GB 2.5GHZ Intel Core Duo from 2009.

Its currently still running on Snow Leopard OSX Build 10K549.

The laptop runs fine and still fast, i have changed batteries like 3 times, fixing small little things that went wrong along the way. Now my question is, should i either re-format the whole mac to make it faster and upgrading to the newest osx available maverick OR should i just trade it in (although not much value i think) for a newer mac laptop.

THanks so much for the input.

Gio

I have a mid-2009 MBP that I recently added an SSD and memory to. For ~250 I'm pretty happy with the performance increase I got. Prior to the upgrade, it was pretty useless. Now it's a decent little workstation -- 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.

Many thanks for the input guys. I will upgrade my mac.

That is after i get my paycheck hehe.

Cheers
