I can't really remember if the Previous MBP has this audio issue.

But there is a Slight Hiss for about 2-5 seconds after stopping a Quicktime Movie or when doing most anything that accesses the left side Headphone Audio Port.

Any audio pros out there going bonkers yet over this new feature?

The quick and dirty fix is to buy a headphone extension cable with volume control. Set the volume to maximum on your computer/player and control the volume via the the cable's volume control.

As for what causes, there are many threads and posts with a number of explanations. The front runner seems to revolve around the soundcard powering up and/or down after/before use to save power.
