When I hook my laptop up with the VGA external monitor, the text and images have a wave effect to them, like they underwater. Any ideas?

Mmmm, try a different refresh rate and/or a new VGA cable. Cables that are marginal definitely do this. If it's an LCD, make sure you're running at its native display resolution.

trembling image

Hi,

I recently purchased a Mini-DVI to VGA adapter to connect my MacBook13 in VGA monitors or projectors.
When I have connected, I have image, but when I take the mouse pointer to the secondary screen it begins to tremble and run from right to left very quickly. If the pointer is not on screen, it stops. I have tried setting different formats and refresh rates, but it not solved the problem.
Does anyone have any tips?

Regards from Brazil,
