Hello, I have heard of people being disappointed with the video quality on their TVs when using the DVI to Composite/s-video adapter, but the resolution on an ipod video is much lower than the original file on the computer (videos not d/led from itunes). So, which is preferrable? An ipod with s-video out, such as this, or the macbook DVI video adapter?

In your situation, macbook should definitely give better video out.
