Just behind you
Hi all,

I currently own a MBP bought in oct 2009. its specs are
-2.53 GHz intel core duo with 4 GB of RAM
-Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
-VRAM (Total): 256 MB

I'm thinking about getting a 13" Macbook Air and more precisely the one that has :
1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
4GB memory
Intel HD Graphics 3000

Now in terms of performances will I be losing anything ? Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't my current MBP has better graphics ?

Thank you

The new MacBook Air faster than your MacBook Pro in CPU, GPU, and drive performance.

And it has a higher resolution display.

Thanks for the links. But clearly no it's not obvious since people are debating about this comparaison in all above linked thread

Um, no, they're not, actually. The debate is mostly about the NVidia 320M vs the Intel HD3000. They make it quite clear that the 9400M is inferior to the HD3000.
