Hi,

I bought a brand new MacBook Pro from PC World about 3 weeks ago but had to send it back as the superdrive failed. Just last week I got my replacement brand new.

Today I went into this site http://www.appleserialnumberinfo.com.

I typed my serial number and on the information I got it told me that my MacBook Pro was built in october 2009 and the warranty finishes in October 2010:eek: This cannot be as I got my MacBook Pro brand new in this month and usually it comes with a 1 year warranty not 10 months.

I always thought the 1 year warranty started from the date the MacBook Pro was bought not built.

Please advise

it's from the time you bought it.

replacement?.....the drive was replaced? or the whole computer?

hold onto your receipts!

It was the whole computer that was replaced as I kept hold of my broken MBP until I got my new replacement.
