MBP washed out screen compared to MBA

I just purchased a macbook pro 2.53 Ghz 13.3 inch laptop. I got it today and so far I'm loving it except for the fact that compared to my rev A macbook air, the screen looks a bit washed out? Like the screen and brightness on my MBA is still better? Is this just me or is there anybody else having this issue. If there is a long thread that talks about this, please give me the link. thank you

The newer displays actually have a higher color gamut then your MBA so they are brighter thus giving you the impression of being washed out. You might want to adjust the brightness level lower.

He said the MBA, the older machine, looked better than the newer machine (MBP) ... no?

Let me ask the obvious question ... is your MBP glossy or matte? If it is matte that is your reason. The glossy, even the not-so-glossy screen of the MBAir is going to be a bit brighter than that of the matte screen.

What happens if you click the "Calibrate" button? Can it possibly mess all the colors up?
