MBP white display problem!

My display on my MBP (2.33ghz stock) is showing whites too white.. if you get what I mean. Like light grays are coming up as bright white, I've checked my iMac and compared the too and I can concluded I am not going mad. I've tried calibrating the display but its not fixed the problem. Help please :(
 
It starts up normal and then about 10 seconds after the start up it changes to light grays to whiter and dark colours darker.
