Hi all,

Today I received my first external monitor, the asus VG248QE.
It works great via mini-displayport to displayport with 144Hz and max resolution.
It works both on the latest OSX and also on bootcamp windows 7.

The only problem is when starting up the computer (MBP early 2011) with the monitor connected. When I do so, I see the apple sign but then it goes to this distorted screen. From there I cannot do anything but to force shutdown my computer.

Has anyone encountered this problem? I tried resetting the PRAM but that did not do anything.

I know connecting the monitor right after it boots up on its own is not a huge problem, but I would just like to know the solution to this for convenience.

Thanks!!
