MBP + Windows 8 --> imac in target display mode help

Hi all,

So, I'm running windows 8 on my macbook pro. Basically, my thunderbolt display is at the computer hospital so am trying to run my partners iMac in target display mode so I can keep working on a big screen.

The problem is, the imac won't run in TDM with my windows 8 on my macbook, even though apple's support page says it does.

It runs fine when my Macbook is booted in OSX.

Any ideas what I could do to fix this?
