MBP Wired RAM?

Hey.

I have got the 13" 2011 MBP with 8gb RAM. When i boot up istat pro is reporting 1.05gb of RAM wired and 871mb active. It never used to have that much wired why could this be?

my 17" has 1.05GB - part of that goes to the intel HD card which wires a minimum of 387MB to video, i'm sure there are other hardware specific usages as wired ram usage on mac pros is much less. my guess is thunderbolt/displayport wires some too.

Wired memory

Information in this memory can't be moved to the hard disk, so it must stay in RAM. The amount of Wired memory depends on the applications you are using.

Do you use Photoshop or Adobe? I think it may be Growl.
