My 2017 MacBook Pro developed the butterfly keyboard defect. I took it to Apple and they agreed to do the upper case assembly replacement under warranty.
They called to say they found signs of water damage so they wouldn't do the repair. I've had the computer from day one and it never suffered any kind of spill. The person who took the computer from me complimented me on the condition because there's not a scratch on it, it looks brand new (which I know proves nothing about water), but it's in such good condition because I've had the computer in a plastic shell and used a silicone keyboard cover from day one, and as I said there was never a spill on it.
Do I have any options with Apple from here? I'd like to at least have them show me their "signs of water damage", because I don't believe that's possible on this machine.
Thanks.
