In the ether
Hey all,
Today I tried playing the simpsons dvd, fresh from netflix, on my SR 2.2ghz MBP and ran into a snag. The dvd would spin up (though not at full speed), change speeds a few times, and then eject...all without mounting. What is going on here? I tried it in multiple dvd plays and it worked just fine. I am running 10.5.1 with all the updates. I have tried other dvds and it is hit or miss. This is a relatively new MBP, yet this is the first time I've tried the superdrive for watching dvds. It should be noted that I was able to use my leopard install dvd just fine. I searched through the threads but it was hard to come up with many posts so I apologize if this has been addressed before. Any help? Is this a Leopard issue or a superdrive issue? I would be quite upset if it was the latter since this is a relatively new computer!

Thanks
