I frequently go to sleep while listening to iTunes or watching a movie on my Macbook Pro, so when I wake up, the battery is completely drained. Usually, I can just plug it back in and have the computer wake up and charge again, but lately when I plug it in, it will not charge.
The charging light stays green, but the computer won't turn on, and the battery is not charging.
Fortunately, I live with someone who also has a MBP, and what has worked is taking the battery out of his computer, putting it into mine, turning my computer on, and then shutting the computer down and switching the batteries back. After I do this, the battery will charge and everything will be fine again.
I've let my computer die like this a few times a week for about a year, but this no-recharge thing has happened three times in the last two weeks, so I'm not sure what the problem is all of a sudden.
