MBP Won't Remember Wireless Networks

It seems within the last few weeks all of a sudden I'm having a problem with the MBP remembering our home wireless network. It's worked fine in the past but now even if I check the "remember this network" box or manually add the network via System Preferences it still doesn't connect automatically like it used to. After I add it manually via System Preferences, it's still there it just doesn't auto connect. The only thing I'm doing slightly out of the normal is not broadcasting the network, but that didn't matter in the past. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

delete the adaptor from your network preferences pane, add it back.

join network.
