I have a 2009 13inch MBP. 2.26ghz with 8GB Ram and a 500GB HD.

A couple of months ago, it stopped sleeping when simply closing the lid.
Meaning I had to go apple>sleep which is just inconvenient.

I have reinstalled OS X to see if that would make a difference but it didnt.

If I take it in to get repaired what could they possibly do ?

This machine has had a lot of problems (still love it), its been repaired 4 times all for different things.

Any chance I could get a replacement because this is annoying!

Thanks all,

Harry

Its possible that the little magnetic device that is used to sense if the lid is closed or not may be malfunctioning. Thats my best guess at least. Not sure if they would to replace the entire lid to repair that, but its a possibility.
